The project entitled IGEA: Indoor devices powered by innovative solar modules for monitoring environmental parameters aimed at human wellbeing and health:
IGEA aims to create a transportable, self-powered indoor multisensor that monitors a configurable variety of environmental parameters (e.g. CO2, CO, lighting, RH, temperature, radon, hydrocarbons, etc.) using “pick and place” sensors and capable of interacting with the user or with an advanced home automation system to improve living and/or working conditions in general. The device will integrate a series of innovative photovoltaic mini-modules with perovskite thin-film technology, suitably optimised for the efficient conversion of artificial light (i.e. LED, incandescent and neon lamps), which will recharge a set of supercapacitors that will serve to store energy.
